Tips for cleaning up your room with a good mood

Everybody knows that feeling when you are entering your room and it is so messy you can't even look at it because there is too much stuff laying around and you need to clean it but you just are too lazy. Well today is your lucky day because I am giving you some great tips to help you tidy up that mess.

Tip #1 - Put some music on

To put a beautiful smile on your face you should try listening to music while you are cleaning your room. I usually listen to the Today's Happy Pop on Songza (on the site or the app). Sing and dance to the music and it will may it much easier to clean.

Tip #2 - No piles under the bed

If you have dirty clothes, papers or whatever you have don't put them under your bed, because you will one day regret that laziness you had when you were "cleaning" your room and that day is when you will find interesting and ugly creatures in your room. hahahhahahahaha! So put everything were it belongs.

Tip #3 - Throw the stuff you won't need

This tips is similar to the second one. If you have papers, wrappers or anything you won't need in the future, throw it !

Tip #4 - Don't get distracted

If you find anything cool or interesting like a photo album from when you were 6 years old, put it aside for later, because if you start looking at it , you won't let it go and later you will realize that you didn't finish what you started and it's the end of the day.

Tip #5 - Freshen up the room

When you are done with that hard work, light up some candles or open the window(s) in the room. It will make you room smell nice and fresh.

Tip #6 - Keep it clean

This is the last and final tip. Try to keep your room clean, so you won't have to tidy up your room two times a week because it's too messy.

First snow

Hey guys! When I woke up this morning and I looked outside the window there was a beautiful white coat of snow on the ground. It made me feel happy. The first snow is always magical. Even my dog was happy, he was sniffing around the snow. Usually when there is alot more snow, about half a meter he will start eating it. Where I live there is no such thing as having a winter without having 2 meters of snow in your backyard. Anyway, I am really excited because the first snow means that Christmas is just around the corner. I actually wanted to take some pictures of the first snow but I had to go to school and when I got back it was dark outside. :( I will take some pictures when I will have the opportunity.

Have a beautiful day!

Blog update

Hey guys! In this really short post I want to tell you a few things about the blog.

First things first. I just added a translate gadget, so that more people have the opportunity to read my blog in different languages. And I just wanted to apologize about the fact that I don't write as much as before, but I have a good reason and this reason is school. I will try my best to post but I won't make any promises that I will post weekly, but one thing is for sure I won't stop blogging. I have a few post ideas for the future!

♥ Have a wonderful day ♥

Red Velvet Cookies

Hey guys! I just tried a new recipe and I love it. I have never made red velvet cookies but they turned out pretty good. So I wanted to share the recipe with you. By the way I took this recipe from a cooking app named Yummly and the woman that shared this recipe on the app is Holly Lofthouse (click here to see her blog). So here is the recipe.

Preparation time: 40 minutes

Cooking time: 8-9 minutes per tray

Servings: On the blog it says 36 servings but I actually had 60. Oups!

Ingredients:

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
7 tablespoons butter, at room temperature
6 tablespoons vegetable shortening, at room temperature
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 large egg yolk
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon red food coloring
1 1/3 cups white chocolate chips

Directions:

1- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F ( 190  degrees C ). In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, baking soda and salt. Set aside.

2-Add butter, vegetable shortening and sugar to the bowl. Mix with an electric mixer on medium speed until very fluffy, for about 3 or so minutes. Add egg, egg yolk and mix until combined. Then add vinegar, vanilla and food coloring. Mix until well blended.

3- Slowly add dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Stir in 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips. Scoop dough out by the heaping Tablespoonful, and roll into balls. Place them on a parchment lined baking sheet. Gently press about 4-5 more white chocolate chips into the top of each cookie ball (I didn't do this part because mine were a little bit too small). Being careful not to flatten the cookie balls.

4- Bake cookies for 8-9 minutes. Allow cookies to cool for a few minutes. And enjoy!

Book review - Counting by 7s

Hey guys! I read this amazing book and I wanted to share it with you guys. I read it in french because it's easier for me. So the book is titled Counting by 7's. I really recommend it, because it shows how life is, with all the problems and beautiful things. I give it a 4,5/ 5. Because it's easy to read and it's an amazing story. I gave it a 4,5/5 and not a 5/5 because it's not my favourite book that I read so far.

One Direction - On the road again

Hey guys! So I am a big fan of 1D , it's my favourite group! 8 months ago my parents bought a pair of tickets, I was so excited! I couldn't wait to go to the show! The months flew by and a couple of days ago I was singing all the lyrics that I knew with one direction. The show was amazing. At the beginning there was Icona Pop that performed! I didn't know about this group before. The group was so into it. Then 1D came and thats were every single person that came was deaf! Haahahah :D Harry Styles was so funny when he was talking about the 10 things that he loved about Canada, and I am not surprised that he loves poutine (the specialty Canadian fast food) and syrup. Niall had a fractured toe :( Liam  was really funny and Louis was Louis. hahahaha That's what I love about 1D, they are always having fun and are never serious, in other words, they enjoy life as it is. So here are a few pictures.

3rd Favourite Tuesday

Hey Guys! For this favourite Tuesday I chose an app that I really like! So this app is Quiz up. You have different categories of types of quizzes from your favourite TV show to candy. It has a lot of themes, and when I say a lot it's a lot! You play with somebody else from anywhere in the world. And you have to answer to the question really fast (you have 10 seconds). The faster you answer the most points you get. You can also level up after you reach a certain amount of points. Some people are crazy, they reach level 100 and something. If you are at a really high level you can get classified as the best in your country or even of the whole world in that category.I tried to do my best to explain ^_^  Give it a try and maybe you will get addicted as mush as I am. hahhahaah

What is your favourite app?

Burt's Bees Review

Hey Guys! So today I wanted to do a little review on the burt's bees Lip balm and hand salve! I always loved burt's bees, and I still do! I think that their products are so refreshing when you put them on. The lip balm is really nice because it's minthy and it is really good for chapped skin and it has vitamin E that is really good for skin. The hand salve is good too but I find it really hard to take it out of the compartment but it still does it's job. I always put some before I go to bed Because it makes your hands oily and nobody wants oily fingerprints all over the place ;). And they have loads of different products! I give them a 4,5/5!

What burt's bees product(s) do you have?

I bought this a few weeks ago because there was a big sale at Bath and Body Works, but I think it's over.

Brand: Bath and Body Works (From poptails collection) (Three wick candle)

Price: 22,50$ 11,25$

What is your favourite candle from bath and bodyworks?

Back to School-Comfy Clothes

Hey guys! Today I wanted to share with you some comfy clothes to wear during school that are presentable. I have a school uniform, but not everybody does and I know that some days you aren't in the mood too wear skinny jeans and uncomfortable shoes. But there is still a way to be fashionable even in comfy clothes!

So the first thing is rompers, they are really in the fashion trend right now and I chose 5 rompers that are really cute and look comfortable!

I also love "baggy pants". I actually don't know the real name for those kind of pants but I call them "baggy pants". Those are really comfy and I love the way they look with a plain white or black t-shirt or tank top.

For chilly weather, it's nice to put on a sweater with a pair of leggings. This is a perfect combination because they are really comfortable.

And finally here is some pairs of leggings to match your romper!

What is your favourite piece of clothing?

Back to school-School Challenges

Hey guys! Summer vacations/holiday is coming to an end. I can't wait to start, because I love the new pens, books and all that stuff! But I know that two weeks after it starts I will want another two months of vacation. I am just weird. This year I wanted to give myself some challenges! And you can use them too. I hope I will complete these challenges at the end of the school year. So here they are:

1- This place is a mess!

I always start my year all organized, but at the end my things are all over the place. So this year I wanted to give myself the challenge to be organized from the beginning to the end. If you are like me you could give this a try.

2- Do your homework!

I actually started this challenge last year and it was really helpful. Every time one of my teachers would give me homework to do, I would do it the same day he/she gave it to me. It helped me because if I would procrastinate I would end up with a pile of homework to do for the next day and trust me it is really long and boring to do it all in one evening.

3- No procrastination when it comes to studying

So I procrastinate a lot when it comes to studying and it's really discouraging when you have to study for a big exam in one evening. So this year, every time I learned something new, I will take a look at it in the evening if I have time. I am not sure I will complete this challenge because I don't like studying, but I learned that if you trick your brain so he thinks that you love studying the information will be known faster.

4- Get to know more wonderful people

School isn't all about homework, studying and exams, there is also people that you can socialize with. I am usually good at making friends but I am shy and to make friends I always have to get out of my comfort zone. And this year I want to know more people. :D

I hope this post will help you this year! Do you have any challenges that you gave yourself this year? And when do you start school? I start on the 27th of August!

Have a wonderful day

Ariana Grande - The honeymoon tour

Hey guys! This week, I went to see Ariana Grande! I am not a number 1 fan of her but I like her voice and her songs. So the show started with Prince Royce, I never heard of him but it was ok. When Ariana Grande she started to sing Bang Bang. The spot lights went crazy!! I really liked all the visual effects and the "fireworks". At the end of the show I was deaf :D . The show was amazing! So here are some photos that I took with my iPhone, so they aren't the best.

P.S.: I am sorry, I didn't post this last week.

Review on the minions the movie

Hey guys! So Tuesday I went to the movies because I really wanted to watch the Minions. If you didn't see the trailer of the movie, the summary is that the minions try to find a boss but fail almost every single time. I rate this movie 10/10, because I am a fan of minions and I wasn't disappointed about the movie. It was actually the funniest animated movie I have ever seen. I saw the movie in 3D and it was pretty cool.My favourite character was Bob because is so heart full and he is really cute. After I have seen this movie I really want to have a couple of minions as sidekicks even if I am not a evil person. So yeah! The minions made my day (no actually my whole life) ;)

What was your review on the movie?

By the way next week I am going on a little trip so I don't know if I will post on Friday.
